Yoyogi Park Sunday

This past Sunday the family packed up to attend the Japan Regional Fair. I really do not know if that is what it is called in English, but it is basically a gathering of all of the regions of Japan, presenting the food culture from their respective regions. I won’t go into a bunch of writing here, but present some photographs for you to enjoy.

Yoyogi Park Station Sign

This is the station, but we live in the area. I posted this for convenience and I thought it really turned out to be a good picture!

Taiko Drummers on Stage

These are some taiko drummers on stage in the park. The scene was great since you could get some good local food from various Japan regions then sit and enjoy some entertainment. A good mix of performance culture and culinary culture!

The Yoyogi Park Central Fountain

This fountain is located in the park center, and the grassy meadow just beyond the fountain is where many couples come for a romantic picnic. The park is surrounded by tall buildings always peering above the skyline, reminding visitors that they are in a metropolis.

Couple Taking Memory PhotosThere is a deck in front of the fountain area over the pond where people often gather and sit on benches.A girl sitting in front of the fountain area.

Just on the other side of the park, outside of the west exit, there is the Yoyogi Hachiman shop area with bars, restaurants and a lively environment.
